Continue being broke or go to school again

I have the opportunity to go to one of these im probably older than most of you but i feel there is no other option atp. What is a smarter move college or learning a trade.

Trades will offer decent money but its back breaking work surrounded by the most insufferable people, uni is more worth it esp for a stem degree so you can actually have some social mobility, just don't take a degree that is a dead end or oversaturated

that is what i am afraid of doing back breaking work forever im leaning towards college thanks for the input.
