contradictory friend's looks opinions

All my friends understand the basic ideas behind the BP, but the moment I bring up pinning or any unnatural method, if looks are really that important to them, they just reply with:
"oh no, it's too expensive and dangerous, just stay natural broooo"
"if my life really gets ass, I'll blast AFTER puberty (when it's over)"
Then they talk about how they’re going to get the most expensive car possible to make up for their lack of looks, to fill the void and attract all the girls, RIGHT??

Do they not realize they're basically saying they'd rather spend their whole lives chasing money in hopes of buying validation later, instead of investing a few thousand early on to potentially live happier long term.
