We all know training facial muscles is pure cope, but purposefully not using them is a real, and effective method.

The first and most effective muscle to disengage completely, is the frontalis muscle.
IMG 6096

The frontalis muscle is the thin, flat muscle on your forehead. It is responsible for raising the eyebrows/making facial expressions. When it contracts, it also causes forehead wrinkles.
When you completely disengage the muscle (stop using it), it will make your eyebrows lower set over time, and also make them more symmetrical. You also won’t have wrinkles as you age and other shit like that- but who gives a fuck what they look like at 40- I wanna slay in my 20s and retire.

I probably havent raised my eyebrows in 6 months, and there are genuine results. Obviously nothing crazy, but my eyebrows are much lower set, and it makes my eyes look more hooded. They are also even now, as before I would often only raise one eyebrow, making one of them higher than the other.

The other muscle that can have real effects on your face is the septi nasi muscle.

The depressor septi nasi is a small muscle under your nose that pulls the tip of your nose downward, especially when you smile or talk. It works like a tiny anchor for your nasal tip.

If your nasal tip droops, abandoning use of this muscle will make your nasal tip droop less and appear straighter, especially if your maxilla isn’t recessed.

This muscle is a lot harder to disengage, as you use it for talking and smiling, so it will require more practice and effort compared to the frontalis. It took me a solid month before fully disengaging it, and I’ve had some subtle results so far.

There are a few other muscles that disengaging can have a positive effect, but nothing as effective as this (mostly for wrinkles). I strongly recommend trying this out as it is pretty easy, and free. Obviously it’s not going to ascend you, but it can definitely help.

Don’t raise and flex any muscle in your face. Just be like that : “:hnghn:” for your whole life tbh.

I’ve been doing this for a while buddy not that hard to not raise my eyebrows, and you can’t even see if someone isn’t depressing their nose against their face. Literally no one has mentioned me not raising my eyebrows- BECAUSE NO ONE GIVES A FUCK

I’m not ragebaiting you just understood me wrong, I meant that it’s better to not flex anything in your face, for whatever reason you got it wrong.

I can actually vouch, used to raise my eyebrows so much that I had high set eyebrows, not using the muscle has now gave me low set eyebrows

I guess if you keep doing the same movement and stick with it eventually the face will get used to it and make it it’s default pose.

I just kind of end up overusing other muscles in my face to convey emotion, is still use the muscle to push my eyebrows down, even tho I prolly shouldn’t. Can’t just go around looking autistic all the time

WARNING: overly relaxing your muscles can give you PTOSIS do not do this you retarded curries

since I had jaw surgery it's been a pain trying to keep my mouth closed and lips sealed when I'm conscious of it in public because my brain simply can't adapt to a class I bite having had a fucked up badly camoflauged class III bite for the 10 years previous

My bottom lip just wants to fall open all of the time as my resting facial muscles can't adapt to a class I bite which causes insane facial muscle tension trying to keep my lips sealed which causes me to like like I'm sternly frowning which is unideal and makes it weird to make eye contact with anyone in public when inintentionally pulling a frown

I question if getting botox to numb the forehead muscles would prevent this

Yeah that should work pretty well. How did the jaw surgery go otherwise?
