Food is one of life’s great pleasures, and to be engaged in its creation makes it so much more satisfying than eating fast food for me.

The method and the techniques engage your mind whilst the sensory aspects of cooking and eating food make you feel happy for a moment.

I only bothered learning to cook because I wanted to gain some independence and feel more like an adult but now I really enjoy it.

I’m glad the days are getting shorter and colder because it’s an excuse to stay in and have a pot of something warm and delicious bubbling away all afternoon.
