Could dopamine detox help my depression, or will it make it worse?

My depression is either from being on adderall and ritalin for the past half year, or from low T, or from both.

Could dopamine detox help me? I will stop all drugs, stop listening to music in car, avoid as much hedonistic pleasures as possible.

Stop the drugs, stop the stimulation addiction, stop looking at porn and watching videos constantly. Don't worry about listening to music in the car, that is just weird.

I will. Do you know how long it usually takes to recover? I miss my life 2 years ago before I started any kind of drugs.

Make worse, I think. You need certain dopamine: serotonin ratio, more dopamine, better

If I continue, I will continue raising the amount of dopamine my brain requires to feel pleasure.

Yes it will help, but it will be hard. I suggest you set a date to do it on in stone to prevent procrastination/excuses. Watch some videos on things to do during a "dopamine fast", it's not just about sitting down doing nothing. It's about actually BEING ABLE to do things of value again and actually getting a positive neurological response from it.

If you continue the amphetamine yeah. Stopping the drugs will be enough. You can still listen to music.

I suggest you try to be more productive, get something done every day and change the things that bother you

Definetly, but along with other things.

So assuming you're a stimulation addict, the answer to how long it will take to recover is the same as any other addiction: It depends on how bad your addiction is.

I can't give you too much advice, since I am dealing with similar things, but I will say two things:

First, meditation before bed really helped me. Consistency matters more than length, so I started off with just three minutes of meditation. If you go for too much time, it will be a habit you start skipping because it's time consuming, so start out slow. Set an alarm. Once three minutes becomes like second nature to you, increase it to four minutes. I can't sleep well without it.

Second, set limits on what you are willing to do first thing in the morning. A limit I like is "I will not surf the internet until I am finished with breakfast." Another decent one on my days off is "I will set an alarm for two hours after I get out of bed, and try to leave the house before that alarm rings." The things you do at the beginning of the day set the pace for the rest of the day, so this is an important time to take advantage of.
