I've been considering MARPE not only for aesthetics purposes but also health purposes (difficulty breathing).
Can't even mew properly or breath effectively by the nose (compressed airways and 32.5mm palate).

Went to see an orthodontist 1h away from my home and here's the whole treatment they would consider :
- MARPE distraction (mini-screw expander) with microperforations under local anesthesia (min. 7mm expansion);
• orthodontic treatment with aligners;
• possible orthognathic surgery for maxillary advancement, mandibular advancement, or both;
• MFT (myofunctional therapy for tongue and breathing retraining), essential to restore tongue and respiratory functions and ensure long-term orthodontic treatment stability;
• retention and follow-up.

However I am concerned with how it would look since they are mainly focused on functional expansion and not so much aesthetic, they said they would expand mainly in the anterior palate and not so much in the posterior.

My cheekbones being somewhat good atm (even more in my 3/4 profile, good ogee curve already), Im afraid this would be "too much" afterwards.

Serious answers only please
Sad to say but Marpe is big cope I haven’t seen one ascension that is actually good seeing as you have to spend thousands and go through a lot of pain if your an adult you might aswell just get surgery

Also btw your nose seems to be bent / drifting to one side I actually corrected my nose tilt by pushing it back constantly and sleeping on my back it’s worth it

Ig I’ll be the first case you see ascend then. You can also look at Cannon or Anthony G. on jawhacks podcast. Both cases ascended

update 1 : Went to see the ENT Spe, I have a turbinate hypertrophy with the already known deviated septum.

Started a potential treatment for it but chances are I'll have to first get surgery for ts and then only go for the Marpe. So delayed by some time for now...
