If your hairline is too high and doesn't conceal your cranial vault you will look gay alien. This is why balding / big forehead, high hairlines look so shit. It makes you look like a gay alien wimp, even if you have a sloped chad forehead.
Example:
Christian Bale has a decent hairline but it just isn't good enough since it doesn't conceal his cranial vault and therefore gives his upper third a failo.
Ideally his hairline would be more like the red line on the right, low set hairline which conceals the curvature of the forehead.
