So creatine causes hair loss in some people (lots of it apparently, too many anecdotes to ignore and these are all random people online just sharing their experience on niche forums, there is no agenda behind it). If you've been taking creatine ''for years'' and experienced no hair loss, congratulations you're on the lucky side of the fence, no need to come in here defending creatine because nobody is attacking it. It's just what it is.
Anyway just wanted to get that out of the way to avoid this thread from turning into your average r/tresless creatine thread with people coming in derailing and taking a hard stance on how creatine is ''the most reaserched supplement out there and if it caused hair loss we'd have a study proving it
"
I took creatine at 18 and it fucked up hairline up (no it didn't turn me nw3 but definitely started looking like a was receding by the time I was 19) I do have bottom 10% hair loss genetics but creatine without a doubt did a number on my hair because it all happened after I started taking it. Just like thousands of other people online have anecdotally reported. I stopped and eventually got on dut and microneedling and by 22 my hair was mostly fixed (no NW0 but I had a normal non receding looking 22 year old hairline vs my suifuel baldcel 19 yo hairline). About a month ago I took a pre workout supplement a friend gave me that had creatine in it (I did read the label but decided to still try it since my hair had been doing so good for years now) and surprise surprise I was shedding again and my hair started looking like complete garbage (before this I was decently mantaining my hair almost 5 years post dut with just micro needling). I even started looking at pictures from just 6-8 months ago compared to a picture that was taken on a night out 3 weeks ago and the difference was night and day, suddenly my hair looked bad again.
Hopped back on dut a week ago, got a haircut and honestly my hair is already looking better again. (based on my personal experience going back to my early 20s I'm a really good dut responder, finastegarbage not so much).
Anyway all this babbler to say that I've been thinking about using creatine (mainly for the cognition benefits claims that I've been seeing for the past year from few legit twitter posters) and I was wondering if anybody has any experience using creatine while on dut (assuming u tried creatine without dut/fin and experienced adverse hair effects) maybe even RU?
