is creatine useless a new study found that creatine when you take 5-10grams a day serves no purpose

There’s no solid proof creatine is “useless.” The only recent study claiming that (UNSW, 2025) had 54 participants, used no loading phase, and ran just 12 weeks at 5g/day — not enough time or intensity to reflect long-term outcomes. Researchers even admitted in their own discussion that lean mass gains may be underestimated due to early water shifts.

Meanwhile, over 100+ RCTs and meta-analyses show consistent strength and muscle gains:

• 4.4–11.3 kg increase in strength (2024 meta, adults <50)

• +1 to 1.3 kg lean mass in older adults

• ↑ muscle thickness by ~0.1–0.16 cm on MRI

• Boosted power output and anaerobic endurance

It also improves cognition, mood, and neuroprotection, especially in sleep-deprived or aging populations.

Bottom line: creatine isn’t hype — it’s one of the most evidence-backed, safest, and cost-effective ergogenic aids out there. Just don’t expect magic if your diet, training, or dosage is garbage.

Creatine is the best natural compound out there imo.
Take 25 grams a day.
