Yes they are. It just needs it to be inserted or swiped for non rfid ones. It works better then contactless ones.

Since most people do tap pay you would need a rfid card cloning Device
Once it's scanned the information would be stored on the device and then you would be able to scam max or sell the numbers to the dark web .

If your high iq you would just drain the funds and then sell it after you've already used it. Scam people twice for twice as much money .

The waiter approach is easiest since the card is not visible in front of the client. You have a team of waiters and then you can spend a few minutes getting the perfect read of the card .

You can also clone the card later with just having a photo of the card number and security code on the back as backup .

4) then i actually scan their card with the actual card reader

Its mainly a issue at high end restraunts where you ask for the bill and hand them the card, otherwise in a lot of other restraints you just pay at the counter when your done, and some smaller stores in black majority areas or ghetto areas you pre pay ahead of time.

Legit low IQ, in college my sister and her friends went to a restaurant and this happened and they caught the guy almost immediately. People are nowhere near as stupid or careless with their money for this to work.

It would be a problem if your doing this immediately after. Otherwise you wait 2 weeks they won't know what hit them. And it's a lot easier with credit cards since their are no pins on them. Sometimes for higher amounts like over 500 it might do a text verification yes or no but other times no.

I don’t know, especially if you’re a minority and/or low trust, all the sudden they could remember and you’ll be the first suspect. I can see someone getting away with it for a while but it just doesn’t seem worth the risk unless you’re making thousands.
