The objective truth is Messi is better BUT that doesn't stop people from putting their heart and soul into saying Cristiano Ronaldo is better. Now, obviously this is the Halo effect, but does this not show how ridiculously strong this phycological bias is? Ignoring facts and pure evidence over a person who is NT, HTN, 6 ft 2, higher net worth, is pure living proof that the Halo Effect is outrageous. I mean realistically, putting aside the "Best Footballer/Soccer player" conversation Ronaldo has more desirable life. This shows how important it is to strive for a better physique, social status, and face. PEOPLE WILL LITERALLY IGNORE RAW DATA IF YOU LOOK GOOD ENOUGH. (I know there has been evidence supporting this claim, I know I didn't coin this).
