Crowded teeth

i have a serious question for whoever has had personal experience with minor crowding in their teeth. is thumb pulling cope to expand my pallet? should i just get a pallet expander, i heard it is painful though. Lmk if anyone has had personal experiences that they did to help crowding

are you dumb, thumbpulling is the biggest bs of all time, and braces may be enough to fix crowding. I have crowding but if i wanna fix my crowding either i can extract two premoalrsr and get jaw surgery or just do braces and marpe (im only doing marpe bc i have a narrow maxilla you might not)

Really? I’ve heard thumbpulling does help, well not suprised ive heard mixed things about it. And yea braces do help but unfortunately I would have to get 1-2 teeth removed.

Really? I’ve heard thumbpulling does help, well not suprised ive heard mixed things about it. And yea braces do help but unfortunately I would have to get 1-2 teeth removed.

in your case that means surgery is likely gonna be optimal for your case, ask your ortho about jaw surgery.

wait actuaylly i forgot one thing, is the teeth being removed on the upper or lower, if its upper then marpe might work

oh then marpe might work but the thing is your ortho might be a shitty one and depending on your location your ortho might not even offer it.

There are some cases where getting a marpe may not be useful tho, the thing is if your lower jaw and upper jaw are the same width they migh be able to get a a few mm expansion whilst having to tip lower teeth outwards, but idk your teeth so i couldn't tell you.
