Not really it's a kind of niche appeal and you don't have to take care of it as much as you (unless you do super extra like finger coiling) but all you need for a good curly hair is just a water and leave in that's it.
Straight hair is more complex because you really gotta arrange it or something and use texture stuff, which you don't need to do with curly hair. (That's my experience at least I have 3b)
