Currently downloading Baldurs Gate 3

Now i'm not much of a gamer these days, most games feel like chores but the game has me a little interested. For one it has received critical acclaim globally and was game of the year. Secondly i'm old so can't play games where you need fast reactions so a turn based game with a group of characters seems my kind of thing.
Anyone play this and have any tips for new players? looking forward to it, mega download speeds are pretty fast, already half way through.
