It's not a terrible result, but it does look "blocky". I have made several posts how implants can cause "unusual thickness" to the look of a bone.

But it's definitely an improvement.

These are custom implants, the guy in the pictures will be some clueless tradie who simply asked to look more masc. If a looksmaxxer came into the office with pictures of their desired jaw, it could be molded to form that.

Maybe but it'd rather have a sliding genio first and actually fix the shape of my recessed dowswung chin than just adding more material on top of the already shit position

I was the surgery guy too that I wouldn't want a foreign object in my face etc. but one fact that surgeries are irreversible if you aren't satisfied with the result. Implants are reversible or even modifiable.

True but it's too set back either way so it's gotta get fixed. Also isn't a bad genio reversable?

great transformation considering his starting point. it looks slightly overdone but he literally had no jaw before so i'm still impressed. i'd rather look a bit unnatural than insanely recessed.

60% of the cases relapse, but.. how much?
1-2 mm maybe, but the result still better (especially when you are recessed af), use your bones, is functional and don't make you bloated.

Even if he had jaw surgery, he still would have needed an implant on top of it just because his jaw was so vertically short.

Decent result, although i think he went a bit too big. The jaw angle should not have been so close to 90 degrees.

I do believe wasn't so short, is a illusion due a lack of mandible and chin.
Otherwise counterwise can helps.

this is result is not so good because he has a very feminine and small nose i guess. also he has a long philtrum so he might have long midface but not so sure.

Another reason why osteotomies like a bimax are superior to implants for the lower third.

This epitomizes it all. Uncanny and overdone and expensive.

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that he will need to removes that big foreign object between his bones and his skin eventually, the fit can be absolutely perfect, also there can be minor displacements, there is some infection that will develop one of those minor gaps eventually.
