cut my own hair or go to a barber

i asked some of my friends n theyre all telling me to just go to a barber to not fuck it up, i want a mod cut or smth similar n im debating on doing it myself

grow out your hair and see how that fits your face. also go to barbers/salons for retouching and maintenance or learn how to maintain long hair. shoulder length is ideal but anything works based on face shape.
