I'm currently 72kg and planning a controlled bulk to reach ~85kg over the next 5 months (roughly Feb–July 2026). Goal is to add as much muscle as possible while keeping fat gain reasonable. I'll be training 4–5x/week with progressive overload (push-pull-legs or similar), eating in a 300–500kcal surplus, hitting 1.8–2.2g protein/kg, and tracking progress weekly.

After hitting 85kg, I want to cut down to look lean/shredded for summer (aiming for visible abs/low teens body fat %). I'd like to do this as quickly as possible without sacrificing the muscle I've built.

What's the most optimal/aggressive (but still muscle-sparing) cutting strategy? E.g., how big of a deficit (500kcal? 750–1000?)? Weekly weight loss target (0.5–1kg?)?

Protein intake during cut: Stick to 2g+/kg or scale with bodyweight? Any must-have foods/supps (beyond whey protein shakes)?

Training adjustments: Keep volume/intensity the same as bulk, or drop volume slightly? How much cardio/HIIT to add without overdoing it (e.g., 2–3 sessions/week)?

Any other tips to speed up fat loss while preserving gains? i am concisering using Methylphenidate and starvemax while dringking protein shakes.

I love how deeply in detail you go to list every variables you would have to tweak.. when all you need is to lower your caloric intake or upping said caloric expenditure. Listen it's not rocket science ; keep your training intensity, eat clean and less, move more.

Losing muscles is bogus concept, even for naturals. Do you know that it's hard to put on muscle but it's easier to keep it? You would have to be in coma on the hospital bed for months without no activity to enter catabolism. Or breaking your leg and being forced to walk with crutches for half a year. Basically serious reduced mobility and ability.

Thanks, but is it to much to gain 10kg in 4 months and start cutting in 1 month for summer or should i just leanbulk i have the discipline to bulk hard, i have a mid + physique and benches 85kg 72kg ca 17% bf

What is most optimal bulk snd cut now as i mentioned or leanbulk towards summer?

In recent studies caloric surplus has never been linked to more muscle growth just train at maintenance and increase by 50 to 70 kcals weekly to not undereat
