Holy shit the tree trunks on that first guy. I have naturally big/strong thighs and calves, and when I got a job and started biking everywhere I never noticed a difference in their appearance tbh.

Cycling barely influences calves, only the thights, but also if you don’t eat a diet rich on proteins and carbohydrates you don’t need to expect too much difference in muscles growth after exercise anyway

Not really. Have you climbed stairs? It puts stress on your calf muscles. It's similar for cycling, I guess.
