I need y'all to look over this and tell me what I can improve here and if I'm even correct
Introduction: I wanted to make a guide about something I feel like is very unknown and decently niche so I chose to do one about CYD19 this was pretty high effort since it's not really talked about a lot enjoy.
What this post will cover:
What is CYD19?
How does it affect bone Growth?
Is it potentially better than Fgfr3 inhibitors?
WHAT IS CYD19?
CYD19 is a Experimental small-molecule compound designed to inhibit snail1, a zinc-finger transcription factor involved in cell differentiation, fibrosis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and skeletal development.
Unlike conventional CBP/p300 inhibitors CYD19 selectively disturps the protein-protein interaction between snail1 and CBP/p300 by binding to a conserved pocket on snail1 this allows it to suppress Snail1-mediated transcription while largely preserving the normal enzymatic functions of CBP/p300 wich are important for many other cellular processes.
CYD19 has also been reported to inhibit HDAC1 wich is a protein that physically interacts whit Snail1 to repress cartilage-specific genes by targeting both snail1 and CBP/p300 interaction and HDAC1 activity CYD19 may reduce snail1s ability to suppress chondrogenic gene expression.
HOW DOES CYD19 AFFECT BONE GROWTH?
FGFR3 is a major negative regulator of endochondral bone growth. One of the downstream transcription factors activated by FGFR3 signaling is Snail1.
Some studies I read suggested that Snail1 contributes to several effects of FGFR3 signaling by:
1. Promoting STAT1-dependent bone growth suppression
2. Enhancing ERK signaling
3. Suppression of SOX9 activity
4. Repressing cartilage genes such as COL2A1 and Aggrecan
5. Influencing chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation
By inhibiting Snail1, CYD19 could reduce some of the growth-supressive transcriptional programs triggered by FGFR3.
IS CYD19 BETTER THAN FGFR3 INHIBITORS?
There is at the time no concrete evidence for it being the case if you ask me tho I think there's a possibility that later on the research could potentially prove that it is better via listed advantages:
1. More selective mechanisms of action
2. Preserves the general enzymatic activity of CBP/p300
3. May avoid some off-target effects associated whit broad CBP-p300 Inhibition
4. Dual Inhibition of snail1 and HDAC1 could provide synergistic suppression of Snail1 activity

De frutus et al.(2007)
