I'm gonna probably ask to take it out or wait for it to drain since waiting times are ridiculous right now.

About 2 days ago a small cyst appeared inside my earlobe and it grew a tiny bit overnight. It's painful.

The cyst is invisible but when I touch it I can feel a ball moving about inside my earlobe and it's a bit painful.

it's just a cystic pimple, you can probably drain it in a day or two, use benzoyl peroxide it'll lower the inflammation.

I've had them before in in my earlobe.

I'll look into it, there is a "head" on the surface

Did they hurt? How quickly did they grow?

there's no head, they sometimes get one later but they can also stay blind, it hurts to drain them and it will bleed.

they grow in like 3-4 days and then fade, I usually get them on my ass but I remember having one in my ear lobe at least twice.

I want to see a GP about it to see if they can drain it but waiting list times here are 3 weeks

I want to know the reason why my cyst formed out of nowhere

hormonal changes cause most skin impurities, might be dietary, or stress, it's not that abnormal if you've only got one or two.

I get them from certain meats.

Yes I've just got one but it's unusual as I never get them.
it might be season bound, there's some hormonal changes that occur from summer to winter, testosterone is lower in winter for example, the shift can cause outbreaks in some people, but most likely it's just some stress.
pork, I avoid it entirely as a result.

To be fair I have had a stressful few weeks so far.

then you've found the culprit, don't worry about it they don't leave scars unless you keep picking at them.

Do they just grow and pop?

yes, they usually get pretty big pretty fast, surprised you've never had one before.
I examined it with a torchlight and there's a large vertical opening on the cyst.

it's the stretched pore it formed in, normal.

it's a pimple. I also sometimes have them in my earlobe. It hurts a little, but I always squeeze the fuckers out with satisfaction
