Genghis Khan Picture - this picture has no relation to the post, Genghis is just tough.
Foreword: This is a strand of the Power & Tribalism theory. I will elaborate on the parent theory in the future, but I wanted to start off by making this post.
What is the DAI Index?
Digital Access Index (DAI) is a significant metric developed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialized agency of the United Nations. Launched in 2003, the DAI was designed to measure the overall ability of a country's citizens to access and use new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It provides a comprehensive framework for assessing the "digital divide" – the gap between those who have access to modern information technology and those who do not.
How does this relate to online racism?
Obviously racism exists in the real world. However, why does it feel like whenever you are online, the prejudice is magnified tenfold? As you soak in content, scrolling endlessly through reels, tiktok, twitter, whatever it may be, you begin to catch onto some major narratives/stereotypes.
Examples:
- 13/50 statistic
- Polish people have shit food
- Nordics are superior
- East asians commit less crimes
- Latinos larp as whites
- Blacks cannot live peacefully
- Islam is a evil religion
- Whites love cp
Now looking through this list, you may have noticed something. Why was I impartial, and why did I equally bring up bad stereotypes about people from all backgrounds? This feels wrong to you. The reason it feels wrong is because the majority of insults online are directed from whites (or at least people who LARP as white) to ethnics. So this list that I provided doesn't accurately represent the general trends of racism.
You may ask - Why is this the case? Why don't ethnics just fight back online? Why don't they just make fun of whites way more than vice versa? Whites make up 7% of the global population. There are more indians than whites. There are more chinese people than whites. There are more black people than whites.
ENTER: THE DAI INDEX THEORY
To be honest, this is a really simple theory, and there's nothing groundbreaking about it. Still, no one brings it up during debates and its puzzling to me. The theory states that whatever "tribe" (a group that most closely identifies with itself - which is based on how human biology and tribalism works, I will elaborate more on this in the future) has the best DAI index access generally, will ultimately triumph in all tribe related conflicts online for these reasons:
- Better access to the internet
- Stronger ability to create bots to spam in various ways:
- Comments
- Posts
- Likes
- Shares
- General Engagement Statistics
- Ability to make their presence stronger than it actually is - Paper Tiger Theory
- Make themselves seem as if they are X times the number of people there actually are engaging with content
- Alt accounts
- Bot accounts as mentioned previously
- Ability to LARP as tribal opposition
- Making the opposition look bad: "As a black man, I think our race causes too much trouble and we should take accountability" or "As a muslim, I'm ashamed of my religion"
- Creating conflict in the opposition: Deliberately aggravating and trolling people while pretending to subtly be "one of them" - this is more effective but takes a significantly longer time investment rather than the first option
- Grifters will always prefer high DAI index tribes
- Perpetuating cycle because high DAI index often means higher income, which means grifters will naturally grift to them. It's not profitable to grift to people with low DAI index:
- Example: What is better, grifting to the extreme right wing spoiled teenagers vs. grifting to Mongolian nationalists (supposing they somehow had the same population)?
- Perpetuating cycle because high DAI index often means higher income, which means grifters will naturally grift to them. It's not profitable to grift to people with low DAI index:
- Shot calling
- In the online landscape, the high DAI index tribes call the shots and the future trends. Although there is randomness (meme theory - hawk tuah, 67, ohio), the randomness is often trivial and has no outcome and does not significantly anger people.
- Example: Every single incident of ethnic on white crime is heavily pushed to the algorithm by high DAI index individuals, whereas incidents of white on ethnic crime are somewhat suppressed
- Note: ethnics still triumph in some cases due to sheer population which effectively negates the DAI index theory, when not accounting for bots and alt accounts
- Example: Every single incident of ethnic on white crime is heavily pushed to the algorithm by high DAI index individuals, whereas incidents of white on ethnic crime are somewhat suppressed
- In the online landscape, the high DAI index tribes call the shots and the future trends. Although there is randomness (meme theory - hawk tuah, 67, ohio), the randomness is often trivial and has no outcome and does not significantly anger people.
WARNING: Critical Analysis is Required
Although the DAI index explains some level of racism online, some narratives are pushed by higher forces. I prefer to use the term elites, which is the extreme left wing terminology, but again right wingers use Jews to describe this group. The generally safe assumption is to say that they are doing this to ensure class division, which ultimately polarizes people and keeps the elites in power, both by distracting the public and the public paying for the elite's needs.
Regardless, you must understand that the playing field was never level, is not level, and will never be level. I should have posted the Power & Tribalism theory first, this shit won't really make sense to the untrained eye.
