duh? the experiment was done on the guards instead of prisoners you know that right? guards didn't know they are the subject, they were told to be mean and abuse prisoners because Dr zimbardo told them they want to experiment how prisoners behave while in fact it was to test how evil guards can be because they have authority.
It's pretty debunked for me, guards were doing what they thought was good and right, it was justified.

Instead of labelling people as good or bad, I prefer to think of them as simply self interested.

People aren't for or against you, they are just for themselves and how they act for themselves shapes how we conclude whether they are good or bad.

Either way, I did recently lose a piece of jewelry at the bus station and found it a few days later. Someone hung it somewhere so I could find it again and no one stole it. Funnily enough, I didn't even know I lost it there so I did appreciate it.

I do acknowledge that this wouldn't have happened in a lot of places but in a small village where I live theft rarely occurs.

If your acting on your selfish impulses you don't have the resilience or strength to resist that impulse it's because of your weakness that you did a bad thing your not guilty for doing the bad act itself but for being weak and through that weakness you did bad

So while there are very few bad people in the deliberate sense there are plenty of weak people
