Forums don't really replace the desire for irl social interaction in the way discord does unless you are severely mentally ill. Discord is genuinely unhealthy. We have so many more maladjusted people + rotters in society now that people have, in general, moved away from internet forums to chatrooms.

thats odd, i come here all the time to cope with inceldom and social ostracization and i feel no need to interact with normies as ive now realized its all transactional to them.
