Going up to girls and trying to talk to them, at a low level of NT, won't increase your NT very much because they won't give you time to get to know them, so you won't understand why they're rejecting you. The first thing you need to do, is to get guy friends, that will be friends with you in real life. This is hard, but here's what you do. You can shoot hoops and make friends that way, if there's some one else, you can ask if they want to play. But make it clear you're not gay.

Expect to fail lots, at all levels, weather you're trying to make a guy friend or get a hot girl. With the failures, you'll learn patterns, and learn different ways of saying things, that get different results. I recently got rejected by a hot girl because I didn't answer the "Do you want kids" question correctly, but I didn't get rejected for answering the "How old are you question?" incorrectly, or running out of things to say etc. It's like a game, where you get better at getting a little bit further every time. It's about experimentation, and refinement.

First you learn how to not bother people too much, then charm, then make them laugh, then make girls swoon.

But back to making guy friends. It will be easier for you to make guy friends that are loosers, awkward and weird, and ugly. If that's your current skill level then start with that. But work up to better looking guys (higher status) who are more charismatic. Through, this you'll be learning to become more charismatic. Maybe she has friends, but the important thing is you're around her a lot and you get good at talking to her, and learning how she sees the world. All of these experiences give you stories that you can tell to other girls, to make you seem more social.

The guy friends in the beginning, and maybe throughout was too learn the basics, recognizing emotions, learning basically how people think. I've tried to approach men who were friends with a girl I liked and I got into their group but after talking to this girl she didn't seem interested and also she has a boyfriend.
