I wonder if this current earthquake will lead to change in building quality requirements in Turkey. I honestly doubt it because in 1999 they have experienced a similarly deadly earthquake and not much seemed to have changed since then. The Japenese seem to do a better job at building infrastructure fit for such a seismically active area
