Dark haired, tanned brunette women prefer blonde pale skinned men - why?

I read the results of a study recently that found dark haired, swarthy c, brown-eyed brunette white women from southern European backgrounds overwhelmingly were more attracted to blond or ginger haired British and Scandanavian men with pale or freckly skin and blue eyes. Does this make sense? Interestingly, the study also found that blonde, northern European women were divided in their preferences for either Latin med/ dark haired white men. Do Italian, Spanish and Portuguese women fall easy for palefaced English, Scottish and Norwegian blonde men?

Unfortunately it’s common for easily tanned brunettes with brown eyes prefer guys with lighter and blue eyes. I’m mixed and I’m most attracted to the exotic looking white girls.
