South asians who have darker skin + straight hair = failio

Darker south asians need to curl their hair, that perm I got was a literal lifesaver. I'm getting more female attention, than I have been for the past few months. Secondly getting a perm looks more congruent with darker skin. Curling your hair as a curry is basically essential.

straight hair, it's hard to pull a messy look off. Curled hair, being messy is fine. Only piss take with curly hair is waiting for it to dry

Zero products. Little bit too dry. Would look better if I lose the frizz by any means. It's because of the hot and humid weather here

Use sulfate free conditioner and shampoo - shampoo twice a week, condition everytime you shower.
If you aren't going outside, just put some coconut oil or other hair oil in your hair, use a wide toothed comb to then ensure it evenly spreads through hair - put in oil while hair is still damp.

If you are going outside
Put in cantu curling cream - when hair is damp. Make sure to focus it on tips, use comb to spread evenly, scrunch and curl hair with fingers too use comb to spread evenly too. Then put cantu gel in straight away, make to focus on roots this time, scrunch and curl hair too, use comb to spread evenly and style hair. You can use afro comb to "pick" the hair to get a bit more volume, don't pick the hair all the way through though.
The let your hair air dry, can take like 2-3 hours JFL. But if you are in rush, use hair dryer with diffuser attachment (hair dryer is just shit for hair health though).
