You are referring to intrasexual versus intersexual competition. Intrasexual means men compete against men. The last one standing who manages to get all the other men killed or submit to him, gets a chance to reproduce regardless of whether the women would choose him or not from a sexual attractiveness standpoint. Intersexual refers to sexual selection by women. Their ability to choose the most handsome, fit, virile healthy male to propagate the species (sexy son hypothesis etc) when left at their own device. Incidentally, women do NOT prefer the most masculinized faces for ONS - this is something that surprised me as well as it is a common misinterpretation of the data

i was making the point that when men here argue about the degree of “DOM” that women prefer, they’re arguing the wrong premise. It’s the minimal degree of Dom that will prevent other men from bullying you.

Evolution IS fact. Normally I don’t engage with low IQ individuals like you as my time is precious (it’s money). If that’s the question you managed to formulate after reading the difference between intra and intersexual competition then I am definitely not the person who will sit down and dumb it down further to you. Yep women will usually choose the standard hot looking guy over the intimidating more ogre looking guy. Once past college age most women seem to choose the more standard masculine good looking guys over the pretty boy look also.

You missed my point. Often times women are down for whoever who wins the male vs male competition. At parties and other high energy environments there are constant subtle battles of male vs male
