I’m doing a data analysis study to inspect trends in Looksmax.org.

The Question: Is Looksmax.org going to shit?

Null Hypothesis: It’s not going to shit.

Alternative Hypothesis: It’s going to shit.

I’ve done a few test runs with the 700K+ .org threads divided into 7 divisions, or bins (each bin represents a set of 100K .org threads), and 200 samples per bin.

Some preliminary graphs:

For the “real run”, I want to collect more samples. I want you guys to decide whether I should use 7 or 14 divisions (bins). 7 bins is what I used in the trial runs, and every bin represents 100,000 threads. 14 bins makes every bin represent 50,000 threads for more precision along the time domain.

How many bins should the pool of .org threads be divided into, and how many samples should be collected?
