Pretty meaningless "advice" - learn from failure, stick to your principles, have the courage to say "no" to people, etc. - this only works if you're already attractive/rich/famous/etc.
If you're ugly/poor/a nobody, you simply can't afford to have "principles", there's nothing to learn from failure and you won't even get the chance to say "no", because you don't get any opportunities or offers of any kind.
