I read his book "Can't Hurt Me" three times, and listened to him talk on podcasts
It seems like he has some sort of unresolved trauma that came from his abusive father. One time he tried stopping his father from hitting his mom, so he jumped on his father's back. His father punched him, dragged him in a dark room, and whipped him with a belt for 10 minutes straight
Not a bad thing, however. Certainly a lot better than roping, and he has accomplished a lot more in one life than many people can dream of.
