I had almond eye surgery last Friday - eyes are still recovering. I think the surgery went well, Dr. Vrcek said he was very pleased. It's gonna be another 10 days or so before the final results start to show.

This shit has been an emotional rollercoaster so far, especially cause these meds are fucking with my head. I keep taking pictures of my eyes, looking in the mirror, obsessing about whether or not they look symmetrical. Even though the swelling is uneven, and they are not symmetrical and probably won't even out for a few more days, I can't stop obsessing over it. Like I said this shit fucking sucks, I can't do anything except sit in my room and rest. Not supposed to look at screens for more than 5 minutes at a time, so typing this fast.

What do you guys think? I hope improvement... please say nice things I need a little life fuel right now

You are telling me bro. I got my eyes from my Mom, and they looked just fine on her when she was young.

Meanwhile I looked like a sad puppy with down syndrome.

What's the difference between canthoplasty and canthopexy?
Also interested.

But i think in canthopexy, they do not cut the ligament/tendon in the outer canthus to shorten the lid, but instead fold it or sth.

Vrcek Fee: $7500 (Canthoplasty, Ptosis, Lower Lid)

Surgery Facility: $2600 (Surgicare, Anesthesia, Alloderm Grafts)

Flights & Hotels: $2000

What's the difference between canthoplasty and canthopexy?
Canthoplasty is more intrusive. It involves actually cutting the lateral canthus and reattaching it with stitches.

Canthoplexy involves basically slitting the eyes (I don't know a ton about this procedure)

only thing you needed was more pfo

Looks good. Seriously though, log off for now, don't strain ur eyes

Good improvement, from bambi prey eyes to decent neutral? looking eyes.

You have ptosis in one eye but it can be fixed with a revision.

I'm aware, that's what I mean when I say that they are uneven. Dr Vrcek said that one eye is gonna swell down and the other should swell up and they will meet in the middle- we shall see.

I have to admit that it looks good.

You need tripod osteotomy you have narrow ipd and a narrow medial canthus distance from laterally narrow orbital sockets.

Looks great, huge difference from before

Thanks for postings this and giving us information. I have similar eyes so this was useful. Please keep us updated and show final results. GL with recovery.

Not worth it. This is a good enough improvement as is.

Yeah I don't even know what any of that stuff is and won't be considering it.

The only thing I'm worried about (probably because the meds are messing with my head) is having to go back for a revision. Because that would cost me another 2+ weeks of my life for the trip + recovery, no gym..etc plus another $2000 for travel, $1000 for Surgicare.

Thanks for the (mostly) kind words guys. Nothing to do now but rest, recover, take my meds, try to stick to the diet...etc

I'm gonna be getting off the meds in two days, hopefully that will help me calm down a bit. I'll post final results here in a few weeks.

greycels strike again
No shit, greyels get their surgeries, ascend, then leave. Instead of festering here, talking about their softmaxes and complaining about greycels.

Met with Dr. Vrcek yesterday, considering exact same set of things you got. Update on progress?? @golfgod69

Also, why exactly did you get ptosis repair as well? From your before pic what did that change?

Ptosis repair is for upper eyelid exposure. Before I had droopy upper eyelids, too much exposure in general. Now it's a lot less.

Much more aesthetic.

Awesome, got it. So if someone doesn't have upper eyelid exposure, but everything else you mentioned - they'd just need catho + lower lid w/ alloderm graft?

I wouldn't know what you need without seeing your eyes. If you met in person with Vrcek he will know what you need lol.
