ok yeah that's true but that doesn't mean you're directly competing with them.
in fact, i actually found that MMs and algos are quite helpful sometimes. besides reducing the bid/ask spread, they also respect many indicators such as vwap and ema in microcaps (u can easily play a 21 ema bounce). furthermore my favorite thing is exploiting the liquidity grabs they create. literally a free buy signal in many microcap movers
