TLDR: Large proportions of the supposedly human-produced content on the internet are actually generated by artificial intelligence networks in conjunction with paid secret media influencers in order to manufacture consumers for an increasing range of newly-normalised cultural products.

This was a conspiracy theory first, AI wasn't powerful enough for that, but now it's actually becoming very real, I've noticed even a few years ago some small niche subreddits that seemed meaningless and artificial - lots of posts that didn't make much sense and similar responses, I've tried to engage in the discussion, try and find out what exactly is happening there, I've also reported those meaningless topics to the mods but I was simply ignored, I'm pretty those subreddits were an experimental ground to test AI generated content, and now the AI content is probably the majority on that site.

Google is also now pretty much worthless, recommending a ton of AI generated pages, many of them with disinformation or made up facts, for example if you look for more obscure information like if marijuana has any interaction with certain vitamins, supplements, herbs, etc., you get plenty of AI articles wrongly claiming all sorts of catastrophic effects if you mix marijuana with harmless substances.

What is the scary thing about this?

What is the scary thing about this?
It makes the Internet basically useless, just random noise, you don't even know anymore if something you read is real or fake, generated by AI...

Do you believe that some people never had consciousness online? Ranging from twitter comments to influences? Or maybe a large portion of it idk.

Majority of the people believe what they see, so if they read information that is false, and believe it they will be spreading around false information. It happens with my parents especially nowadays, like Gonthar gave an example of mixing substances, nowadays my parents are eating my head by saying I shouldn’t be doing this and that, and they heard their friends say it.

My parents are uneducated, and they believe anything, and I believe majority of the people fall under the same category.

Ahh I see thanks for the explanation. Ordinary people are more likely to fall for that

i actually can attest to this. internet has gone to shit just pure shit.
all the human content from 2004- 2015 has been purged.

also google has gone significantly worse with their woke and BBC propaganda.
