Dead skin after retinoid use

If i use it frequently my skin gets flaky and there's dead flaked skin on my hands when i apply any products

What do i do to stop this or remove dead skin

Edit:-Shoud i buy an exfoliator?

I drink atleast 4l water daily and i have been using it for like a year now but it just doesn't go away
