Debating on whether to focus on studies or give up

Tbh I only really focus on studies so I don’t disappoint my parents and be a failure in their eyes

I don’t want to live my life how i want to though and not dictated by what they think, even though my parents tell me they are happy with whatever will make me love my life in the long run they really dont care, i just need to prove i can support myself without a degree or good grades

if i don’t make at least 5 figs over summer I will just become like everyone else
