Carbohydrates don’t cause subcutaneous water retention. Idk who came up with this idea.

Another important factor is heart and kidney function. When these organs don’t work properly, it can cause edema. So, if anything, eat more carbs and less saturated fat and protein, to prevent problems there.

I dont count grams. I'm just careful with what I eat and avoid foods famously known for their carbs. I'd say I now have 2 carby cheat meals a week (1 sandwich made with this)

Than we have about the same diet tbh.
Most of my carb cheat meals are pasta, rice etc.
cookies etc i got covered i bought some from the atkins brand with barely any sugar and carbs

Placebo effect or too much salt with your carbs
