Decision between palate expander or Damon braces or both for functionality and facial aesthetics

So basically I have a slight over jet I think it’s called, I wanna ask maybe if I can get a palate expander but would that be necessary and would it result in anything regarding facial aesthetics Damon braces are also a option I think the issue is skeletal that the teeth are just protruding I don’t know what I should do in this case.

get damon braces first then consider a palate expander, but make sure to ask your orthodontist if you even need one in the first place, a lot of people get palate expander because they see it might give you "forward growth" from it splitting your intermaxillary suture but not everybody needs a palate expander and it won't give you a god tier maxilla or anything

bet also, with this slight over bite can they bring the mandible forward with something like a herbst appliance or cause in my case it’s a dental slight over bite so it’s the teeth so that’s not needed right?
