Decomp Questoin

I had my bite checked out today and it's not in the correct spot the doctor kept forcing my jaw backwards which is crazy because I would die if I kept that position all day he said that is where my jaw is supposed to be it hurts still it was a lot of strain on my joints, he whispered to the nurse that I had a 6mm class 2 I was expecting more since I am a birdcel I was wondering if during decomp does the jaw retrude further causing a larger bite issue?

how do you have a class 2 but your ortho said your jaw should be further back…

Yes they are increasing your overjet, you should've known that

In class II the condylar position is too forward, because your natural jaw posture is trying to hold up with the upper jaw. they are trying to correct that so your condyle would sit normally in the socket after surgery
