so my doctor said that i need an splint for my jaw and after that they gonna treat my deepbite. is there any side effects of splints? do they cause receding or something else like that? and what is the best treatment for deepbite without getting recessed or other things is there anyone that been through this can help me pls. and i personally actually like my left side profile but something is seems wrong about my right side. do splint would fix that?

Dude i have the same problem im 23. My face has receeded considerably in just 3 months and people look at me like im a monster. Left side is better than the right side. Im considering Bimax with ccw or orthognatic lefort 1 with bsso. But Id like to target the facial assymetry. That side is too far back and flat the maxilla is basically so far back there’s nothing left.

no ive read that deepbites gets worse overtime by themselves but it can get cinsiderably worse if ur tongue thrusting gets worse. I followed ”oscar patels” adviceof keeping teeth together while swallowing but it ended up receeding the front portion of my palate so much that i cant remember how to swallow ”normally” because the front portion behind the upper front teeth literally moved back. Deepbites are inevitably prone to recession is my theory. Dont take my word for it though

i did some research and they say that damon braces would fix it what are u thinking abaout damons? not tradational ones. imma talk to a orthodontist about it but you know most of them suggest the one they gonna get money from. and thank you for your answers to my question.

i dont know, does it cause recession? pushing back the bone? How it actually work without receeding thats allni wonder
