what is the difference, i ve never heard of deepbite before? i have braces rn and the ortho is telling me to wear elastics but wont that recess my maxilla? should i wear them or not?

if not then what other solution is there to fixing it

Overbite is definitely worse than deepbite. tall chin > short chin. I wish I had deepbite instead of overbite:feelswhy:

you're not the brightest tool in the shed are you ... you realize that both malocclusions share the same traits as far as the mandible, the difference lies in the rate of down growth shown in the maxilla. In the case of an overbite, your maxilla isn't excessively downwardly grown therefore resulting in simply stunted mandibular growth in most cases, whilst on the other hand, a deep bite in regards to the maxilla, is tilted downwards at an angle, the recessed mandible is a result of the downgrown maxilla
