Twitch is just a poisoned now. It's fucked up by design. Every single streamer you watch on there fakes some aspects of their personality while live - often to a significant degree. And in the long run almost all who do it suffer from mental issues as a result. It is not gratifying work and they end up unhappy. I see it often in their faces and hear it in their voices. The cracks in facade. Trying to maintain a friendly air when there's turmoil inside.

In the case of Sweet Anita, she strikes me as deeply conflicted. She herself said that Twitch doesn't allow for any humanity or errors. That she's essentially scared of the e-mob coming after her for any hypothetical slip up. That's fucked up. On the other hand Twitch has vastly improved her life in several ways and I'm sure she's grateful for it. But she's aware a sizeable chunk of her supporters are simps and even worse, she claims to have several stalkers - one of who comes to her house and is literally (note how I used that one like it is intended to?) threatening to kill her. Even the police are involved. Again, totally fucked up. How do you marry those things with a feeling a gratitude? It's tough balancing the ups with the downs of a streamer life. Many streamers end up feeling trapped and just stick to what has worked for them in the past. This is where the faking your personality takes root. They're afraid of change and messing with the formula. Afraid to show how they've changed and are potentially not feeling okay inside. You essentially become a product when you're a streamer.

For her these issues bubble up in the form of making fun of her community I think. Doesn't it strike you as odd that someone who has allegedly dealt with as much rejection and neglect as her and is advocating for mental health as their main gig constantly makes fun of their supporters?

In any case, I don't enjoy her streams. She kind of comes across as full of herself when she preaches her world views to her audience. She herself recently said she thinks people are subbing because of the YouTube compilations not realizing the actual nature of her streams and are probably not using her emotes in other chats. Maybe she has a lot of short time subs or assumes a sort of guilty pleasure type deal? I dunno. She should give herself some credit. There are worse streamers out there. Way worse.
