My skin is dehydrated even before I started taking retinoids like... taz My skin is ruined; I look like a 60-year-old man. For months my skin simply refuses to moisturize; it's very tight and peeling, and my wrinkles have gotten worse. I find it strange that no one in this forum is talking about skin dehydration. Often people tell you to use moisturizing cream, hyaluronic acid, and Cicaplast B5, but all these products won't give you any solutions. It's like I hadn't even thought of it, but nothing's working; on the contrary, it's more tense. This fight is starting to make me lose hope. I just want to go back on a retinoid to fix all this, but my damn skin refuses.

I spam diuretics but dietary supplements are simply cope. Your body filters them before they even reach your skin

I stopped using everything; my skin just refuses to absorb moisture. The moisturizing cream stays on the surface. Beef tallow ruined me

No amount of retinoids is going to fix your skin dude
When I finally manage to control this damn hydration, I'll go back on retinoids; there are no other solutions.

Duiretics could be the problem they cause dehydration, Supplement potassium (40-80 mEQ ) if using more than once weekly.

Use an emollient and try to intentionally upregulate sebaceous gland activity so that you can trap moisture in your skin.

I think there's a difference between dry skin and dehydrated skin. My skin is dehydrated, so to compensate it produces more sebum while still feeling tight and dehydrated.

lmao water is free bro

If your skin is very dry, why use retinoids? I have oily skin before but that is what it is used for, I did peel after starting but I switched to a heavier moisturiser and using a silk pillowcase makes my face not dry overnight.

It was the retinoids that dried out my skin Did you manage to get through the purge? What's your routine?
