Discord is cool if you have irl friends using it too but most use it and join some big server related to games or memes where every chat moves 50 messages per second and chat rooms have whole weird culture based on it
It you have people there you actually like and consider friends just add them on insta/snap, that's what I did
I despise Instagram and snap, I'd rather talk to them on anything else but those platforms, and honestly thinking of leaving discord all together when I'll find a good alternative.
