I love what almost disappears,
the bodies that touch the edge of the unreal,
slender as a line of smoke,
tall as a prayer that refuses to fade.
In their fragility I discover strength,
in their absence of excess I find purity,
as if they were living sculptures
carved in marble by a severe god.
Many call my gaze obsession,
but I call it art
the art of desiring the impossible,
the art of surrendering to the minimal form
that reveals the hidden perfection of the universe.
I do not love abundant flesh,
I love the precise line,
the proportion that wounds and redeems,
the shadow that hints at the eternal.
For in slenderness
lies my truth
a love that is also a blade,
a beauty that is also a wound,
and a desire that burns
like a flame that never grants rest.
