The trainer I been going to was a state champ power lifter and runner up bodybuilder as well as a wrestler in college, back in who knows when, he’s old now.
Here’s the superset he suggested to me when I told him I was tryna get my delts wider:
Lateral raises to prefatigue followed by behind the neck press
Did it a handful of times before surgery a month ago and a couple times in the last week since I got back in the gym. I swear my delts look wider and more defined than they have in ages, if ever.
Plus it’s safe(assuming good mobility) whereas on heavier barbell/dumbbell Ohp I tend to strain my neck.
I literally go with 10-15 pounds on the lateral raises for 15-20 reps, then just press the empty bar to failure. When the burn gets bad you just leave it on your traps for a sec til you can push out a few more reps. That keeps your pumped delts in a stretched position which helps the gains too.
Sick pump and quick gains. Try 3 rounds of this twice a week for a month and tell me your delts aren’t nastier.
