Demographic Maxxing
*Disclamer this is just a theory*
One of the most underrated things you can do for your dating life is demographic maxxing.
The basic idea is simple, some dating pools will respond better to your looks, ethnicity, height, style, personality, etc. than others. So instead of trying to appeal to everyone, put yourself in environments where your traits are more likely to be valued. There actually is some data behind this. For example, studies of US online dating have found racial differences in dating preferences, including Asian women showing greater willingness to date White men, while interracial marriage data also shows particularly high rates of Asian women/White men and Black men/White women pairings.
So if you're a white guy, for example, spending more time around Asian or Latino women can make sense. Go to places where they're actually present, make friends, learn the culture, etc. Don't be the guy who treats an entire ethnicity like a dating strategy.
International Maxxing
This gets even more interesting when you leave the US.A guy who is LTN/MTN in the US could potentially be perceived as much higher in another dating market because of differences in beauty standards, ethnicity, height, status, income and simply being foreign.
Countries worth looking into:
- Thailand
- Vietnam
- Philippines
- China
- South Korea
- Japan
- Colombia
- Brazil
- Mexico
Basically LTN in us is HTN in japan, and HTN with money and status in thailand.
Cross-Race Examples
White men → Asian/Latina women:There is actual research showing Asian women have relatively high willingness to date White men, and Asian women/White men is one of the most common interracial pairings in the US.
Black men → White/Latina women:
Black men/White women is another major interracial pairing in the US, and Black men can also potentially benefit from multicultural or international dating pools where they're less common.
Latino men → Black/Asian women:
Latino men can benefit from multicultural environments where their ethnicity, style and cultural background are more distinctive. There is also evidence that Latino and White daters have different racial-selection patterns in online dating.
Asian men → White/Latina women:
Asian men shouldn't assume they're locked into one dating pool. Research on Asian-American online dating shows substantial interracial willingness, and the environment can matter a lot.
Obviously this isn't "X race automatically likes Y race." Individual preference matters.
The point is dating is partly a numbers game + environment game. If you're getting mediocre results in one dating pool, changing the pool can sometimes do more than endlessly trying to improve the same things.
To be clear i love everyone and this is just a theory.
*I dont have a stance on this personally*
