dental implants and bone grafts - could they encourage bone growth in my case?

ive not had my second molar erupt since birth.(hypodontiacel) as a result my teeth are gapped and the left side of my jawbone isnt as dense as the right. would getting a molar dental implant and bone grafts thicken the jawbone?
