I just went to a consultation with my family dentist(who is also a ortho) talking about wisdom teeth and getting an MSE, he confirmed that i do infect have a noticeably narrow pallet and i could be a candidate for MSE, the issue is he want me to get my wisdom teeth removed before i do that which will collapse a lot of the structure in my mouth needed for the full benefits of the MSE. MY wisdom teeth aren't even that close to eruption, he confirmed that my wisdom teeth although growing in are still in the middle stages of it and aren't going to erupt or cause any noticible damage for a while . So they want to prematurely take out my wisdom teeth by spring break making it so if i do get an MSE afterword's the structure of my mouth has a lot less support which will very likely leave me recessed for life.
Should i try and go to a different ortho and if so how would i convince my mother to let me do that, because she is so blind sighted by the dentists broad words that every time i try and explain how the process actually works and the benefits of getting it now she says "I trust the dentist more then Dr.Google" and doesn't even bother to do a quick search on the topic or listen to anything i say about it.
