Dev ops

You can taper into Cyber ltr

Cyber is usually a field that people taper into ltr in their career. People rarely begin as cyber

I myself tried it and it’s close to impossible to get a job in cyber as a newb

Dev ops on the other hand is open

But now I’m changing careers I’m done with tech for now fuck that shit I’ll jump back into it in the future when I can secure an remote job so I can Passportbromax

Don’t wanna say here tbh cos I’ll be doxxing myself but it’s not related to tech

But I will be dipping into that field in my new job to teach others it I guess I suppose

So my skills won’t go to waste and my degree and masters will be useful and is one reason why I got the job anyways.

I just wanna be able to passport bro maxx before I reach 30

I’m an oldcel rn and wanna just slay foids around the world before I reach my mid 30s because the UK prevented me from living my true life because it’s a shithole with shithole women. Foreigner women love me even in this gay country so it’s clearly the women at fault here not me and I’m above avg looking so this is what ima do. I have 3 month holiday every year so I’m ok unlike most people tbh

I'm a Devops guy andDev ops easily. Devops is also traditionally a senior role but is still more flexible and adaptable. Cyber security is also good but you needs years of experience for your resume to even be considered for proper cybersecurity roles. It takes a lot of knowledge to know what threat boundaries, buffer overflows, memory vulnerabilities etc.

I'm planning DevOps here in a such a shitty country(Somalia)

I want to have a online job that is from NA and EU

How high would be the ROI?

Computer Engineering" when I ask "DevOps or Cybersecurity" is like answering "Vehicle" when someone asks "Car or Motorcycle."

One is a broad category the other two are specific paths within that category. I was asking which specialization is better, not what umbrella they fall under

Are you atleast in 3rd of uni? Also are you able to land an internship already if you think you are an outlier

Real DevOps are hard to get as junior because it involves real decision making. Its not hard per say but there's a lot at stake so companies generally hire people with experience but freshers from big names unis still get them at big tech because Big Tech companies have the guardrails to absorb fresher mistakes. If you don't have brand prestige there are still roles in the junior level for Devops. They aren't true Devops roles but involves tooling and ops plumbing which makes it easy. And yes Devops is very work from home friendly.

As a fresher aiming for Devops squarely would be a mistake. For every one Devops guy there are 20 job postings for SDE/SWE what I did to gain that experience was free lancing by the time I graduated I already had extensive production experience so they had no problem hiring me

DevOps will remove barriers to the organization, Cyber will create barriers and create work stoppages

So I'm trying to comeback

Whats your skillset and last job profile if you don't mind telling

wait until you have to live in a 3rd world country with penauts wages ngga
Lol, are you being funny? I just finally moved BACK to the 3rd world a couple weeks ago. Made a thread about it recently.

What you want is maneuverability, not job security. Maneuverability is something you cultivate for yourself. Job security is something you hope a boss daddy, someone else, may or may not give to you one day. I don't know about you but I'm 38 years old with a wife and young son, and have been the sole breadwinner for my family for the last 8 years. I sure as hell know which one I'd rather have. I'd rather rely on myself thank you.

I've worked a lot of different jobs in the last 8+ years and I always get so perplexed whenever there's trouble and my co workers are running around like chickens with their heads cut off talking about "I hope we don't lose our jobs!"

I'm always like "Why? If I lose my job I'll just get another one."

Quit thinking the way they've conditioned you to think.
